National blood donor month is nearing an end, but there’s still time to help strengthen the region’s blood supply.
The Community Blood Bank is the exclusive blood supplier to 20 nearby hospitals. They are hosting several blood drives this week where you can pop in, roll up your sleeve and donate blood to help save as many as three lives. O and A blood types are critically low, but all blood types are needed right now.
Today, you can donate at the Millcreek Township building on West 26th Street form 1:30 to 4pm.
Wednesday, there is a blood drive at Erie City Hall on State Street from 10am-2pm.
And, if you live in Union City, you can donate Thursday from 2-6pm at the Moose Lodge on Perry Street.
