City officials have announced the music lineup for CelebrateErie 2016 on Tuesday.
Kicking off the four-day event in downtown Erie is Here Come the Mummies on Aug. 18.
Thomas McClary, the co-founder and lead guitarist of the Commodores, is set to perform on Aug. 19, while Randy Bachman will take the stage on Aug. 20.
Country star Frankie Ballard will close the event on Aug. 21.
“We also have a lot of good local bands playing on the various stages throughout the weekend,” Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott said. “It really is a good music showcase for the community.”
CelebrateErie is scheduled for Aug. 18-21 in downtown Erie.
Along with the musical acts, the festival will feature CelebrateErie staples such as Taste of Erie and Chalk Walk, as well as a fireworks display on the closing day.
