Beginning next week National Fuel customers will be paying less to heat their water and their homes. The company has issued it’s quarterly gas cost request and this time it’s a 6.46 percent decrease in price.
That will mean about $3.50 less a month for the average homeowner.
In a company statement National Fuel says increased supplies of gas, mostly in the Marcellus Shale area is leading to the reduced costs.
This reflects only the cost of the gas which the law requires is passed on to customers dollar for dollar. It does not include the cost of transporting the gas to your home.
That decrease goes into effect on Sunday.
