The stabbing at a downtown club The Culture came as a surprise to many nearby businesses. After an Erie man died from the stabbing early Saturday morning many are left picking up the pieces. According to the Erie Police Department, they were called for a report of shots being fired and came to find a large amount of blood on the scene.

“It was honestly traumatizing,” said solution specialist at Cricket Wireless Sabrina Oquendo. Two other victims, a 25 year old man and a 27 year old man were treated for injuries at UPMC Hamot. One of them was admitted. Erie Police questioned one of the stabbing victims Saturday afternoon and found out that he was wanted on a arrest warrant by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. Due to the stabbing the State Street Market located right across the club has temporarily changed their business hours.

“Well right now we’ll stay open till 1 am,” said co-owner of state street market Hameed Azraky. People have been taken to the Police Department for questioning. Police found no evidence of shots being fired in the incident. The stabbings all happened inside of the club.
