Negotiations with Erie School District teachers union

Local News

Erie School District and the teachers union will go back to the drawing table this afternoon

They are hoping to avoid a teachers strike.

One month ago the union representing Erie School teachers gave it’s negotiating team the authority to call a strike.

The district is hoping it won’t come to that.

The union says their teachers have been without a contract since June 30, 2014.

They blame the delayed contract on disagreements with Erie School Board and unfair funding from the state.

The meeting between the district and union is set for 3 p.m. Thursday.
