Revitalizing the West Erie Plaza has been a project years in the making. Friday, the new plaza began to take shape as a new archway is installed and the first business opens up shop.
E Lane Boutique is a clothing store filled with all the latest fashion styles for adult women.
“Especially for Erie we don’t have a store like this” said Owner Allison Gorman “I mean upscale but a lot of price points just a store where you can pop in when you are going out for a Friday night and need a new top you can stop instead of going to Cleveland or buying it online which is what you would have to do now.”
Gorman says that opening up this shop was her dream and true passion.
“When people pull out the clothes that I have bought and picked out” said Gorman “and I see people liking them buying them accepting them saying how cute things are, is just a dream come true.”
But soon she will not be alone, Achilles Running Shop will join the plaza mid-summer and Claytopia will join in the fall.
Achilles running shop says they are looking forward to the move to have more space and a better location.
“Yes we are real excited” said Gene Britton of Achilles Running Shop “we are going to be moving over into a really nice location and we are going to be expanding and hopefully get more people coming into the store and become more interested in running.”
