Interstate Chemical is expanding. The $ 60 million chemical manufacturing plant is set to be built near Hero BX on East Lake Road. A project creating 50 jobs something members of the East Avenue Hess Avenue Neighborhood Watch are supporting.
The neighborhood watch invited Interstate Chemical to their meeting spot at Saint Anns Church to
make the formal announcement of the plans Thursday.
Interstate chemical Vice President Louis Razzano says not to worry about pollution the operation is environmentally friendly, “We are capturing every single thing we can and reusing it and reprocessing it so there is very little pollution that is going to be generated. We’re going to be a low missions facility ” The first plant is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
