The Trump Administration’s new Chief of the US Forest Service is starting her term with a tour of the Allegheny National Forest. Vicki Christiansen was sworn in at the 19th Chief of the Forest Service two weeks ago.
She had been working in the service since 2010. She said her primary responsibility is preserving the country’s natural resources and building good relationships between people and nature.
She tells us, “it takes the richness of these resources to be healthy and to be used today, but we leave these resources in good, if not better, shape for our children and our grandchildren.
Christiansen made the trip with US Representative Glenn Thompson.
