This year, Mercyhurst University students have a brand new building to call home.
Right on time, and on budget, Mercyhurst University officials cut the ribbon on the new student residence building ‘Ryan Hall’. The $25 million hall is more than 146,000 square feet. Featuring 92 suites that will be home to nearly 400 students.
The building is named after alumna, benefactor, and former trustee Ellen Ryan and her husband, David.
Ellen says, “They’ll go away with a feeling of wanting to help others. I think that’s important. It’s important… not only what you learn in college, but what you do with it when you get out. So, I’ve tried very hard to do good things with it.”
The building amenities include an open kitchen, dining facility, convenience store, and multiple common and study areas.
