Hold on to your hats, or in this case, just hold on… The world’s tallest, fastest, and longest hyper-hybrid coaster, which combines both steel and wood in its structure, opened Saturday at Cedar Point.
Thrill seekers were eager to get on the ride called, ‘Steel Vengeance’ which rises 205 feet, drops 200 feet, and reaches a top speed of 74 miles per hour.
The ride has the first of its kind, ‘twisted snake dive’. The train enters a half-barrel roll, hangs upside-down for a brief moment, and then turns back in the direction of travel without completing the full roll.
The coaster was forced to close on its very first day, but is open once again.
