North Carolina resident is staying with her parents in Oil City after Hurricane Florence

After Hurricane Florence, a North Carolina resident is seeking refuge with her parents in Oil City, Pa. Alayna Amaro has lived in Harkers Island, North Carolina for 6 years with her 3 children. 

Amaro says she took all necessary belongings and left just in time to avoid the last minute evacuation traffic.

“Not being there to be able to see it is frustrating and you can’t get around, people can’t get around every street has trees down,” said Amaro. 

Amaro hopes for the best and is happy that her children are safe.
