The spring season appears to be taking a bite out of this year’s brutal flu season.
The latest numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show there are fewer people heading to the doctor with flu-like symptoms. But, hospitalizations for the flu remain high. For the seventh week in a row, there was a decrease in the number of doctor visits for the flu.
And, as health officials predicted, cases of the less-severe influenza-b virus continue to be more common than the more severe influenza virus.
