April 1, 2023, marks the end of odd-even parking in residential neighborhoods.
The spring regulations start April 1 and continue through October 31. One day each week is designated as “no parking” on many city streets between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This change goes into effect to facilitate street operations like pothole repairs.
“In the summertime obviously it’s our sweeping operations, so staying on the side of the street you’re supposed to be on obviously is going to save you a ticket and enable us to clean the streets and do what we have to do in those days in those neighborhoods,” said Jeff Gibbens, chief of the Erie Streets Department.
And of course, odd-even parking will return on November 1.
