Ordinance passed for $15,000 contribution for police, fire and winter maintenance by Mercy Terrace Apartments

Erie City Council is moving forward with an ordinance that involves a contribution from a local nonprofit.

Mercy Terrace Apartments contributed $15,000 for the purchase of police, fire and winter maintenance.

City council unanimously passed this decision during it’s first reading.

One council member reflected on how it is nice to see this organization give back.

The final reading for this ordinance is expected for city council’s next meeting.
