The original 1966 Batmobile will be on display at the Remarkable Lake County Community BBQ Thursday August 9th, 2018. The car, which has reached iconic popularity was a staple of the 1966 series “Batman”, starring Adam West as the caped crusader and Burt Ward as the boy wonder.

The original 1955 Lincoln Futura concept – that George Barris turned into the Batmobile for the TV show – sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottdale, AZ, for a final price of $4.62 million in 2013. The iconic Batmobile will be available for photographs with fans at the event.

Scott H. Dockus (Executive Director, Lake County Visitors Bureau) states, “Having the Batmobile as part of this event is exciting. The Batmobile is a classic symbol of our heritage and we are thrilled to bring it to Lake County.”
