Owner of Lakeview Resale auto sales to three years probation and fees

The owner of a local car dealership was sentenced in court today for failing to pay state sales tax and vehicle registration fees.

58-year-old Gerald Munsch of Erie was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay court costs.  He’s accused of completing multiple sales of vehicles without sending the proper paperwork and fees to PennDOT.

This happened at his business Lakeview Resale at West 26th and Cherry.  

Munsch was also accused of reselling trade-ins without obtaining the title.
