The PA senate has passed the medical marijuana bill, but not without some amendments.
The legislation is one stepper closer to Governor Tom Wolf’s desk, after a 42 to seven bi-partisan vote this evening.
What happens next depends on how the state house responds to the changes.
State senators say the amendments are “technical” adjustments that allow for smoother implementation including licensed growers, processors and dispensers, issuing cards to qualified patients and certifying doctors who want to recommend medical marijuana to patients.
The House has also approved the bill as of Wednesday evening.
