ERIE, Pa. — Just before the start of the new year, PACA closed on the building it has been renting for more than four years at 1501-1509 State St. in downtown Erie.
The Artistic Director of PACA said the building costs about a quarter of a million dollars to purchase. Money saved from productions helped PACA to get a loan from the Northwest Savings Bank and the Erie Economic Development.
PACA is working on a five-year plan that includes renovations to the exterior, upgrades throughout the entire building, but major renovations to the fourth and fifth floors.
The nonprofit also plans to pay taxes.
