Pair charged with string of Erie robberies

Local News

ERIE, Pa. — Erie police arrested two individuals charged with multiple robberies on Monday night.

Jimmie Shanklin, 20, and Natasha Andrews, 22, were arrested after police said they are responsible for at least three separate robberies that happened in the 600 block of East Eighth Street.

Police said Shanklin and Andrews lived in a front apartment and would have the victims meet them in the vacant apartments upstairs and around back, before robbing them of money and cellphones.

A victim picked Shanklin out of a photo lineup and Andrews confessed to the crime, according to police.

Erie police said there are likely more victims out there.

If you’re one of them or have any information on other possible culprits, you are asked to call police at 870-1120.
