Parents vote for more armed presence in Millcreek schools

Local News

Millcreek School District is exploring the possibility of additional funding for safety.  This comes after school shootings increase across the country.

The parents of the school were given surveys asking if they wanted armed security at the school.  The results were 69 to 31 where folks said they were in favor of having some type of armed presence.

Superintendent Bill Hall says, “Unfortunately, when these incidents like the one with Parkland happen again it rips open a scab for everybody in schools and you know it’s a difficult situation. We know we have to look at everything.”

More ideas will be discussed tonight at the school board meeting at 7pm.
