‘Paris Spiderman’ saves child’s life by scaling building

Local News

A dramatic rescue in Paris ended with one life saved and another changed forever.

When an undocumented migrant from Mali saw a little boy dangling from a balcony, he didn’t walk away in fear of getting deported.  Instead, he rescued the child by scaling four floors of the apartment building, balcony by balcony, with such agility and speed, some are calling him the ‘Paris Spiderman’.

‘Spiderman,’ 22-year-old Mamoudou Gassama, received a Certificate of Bravery and a medal after meeting with President Emmanuel Macron.  Macron is granting the hero legal residency and is fast-tracking his citizenship.
