Parking Authority looks to upgrade areas around Hamot and Saint Vincent

Local News

There could be some technological upgrades coming to help move parking along at Erie’s two major hospitals.

The Erie Parking Authority is planning to take a look at those upgrades, which would improve computer responses for parking apps and computerized kiosks that could be located there.

The areas around UPMC Hamot and Saint Vincent and their parking garages are among the busiest for parking around Erie.  The authority hopes to do a cost and benefit analysis to determine if the infrastructure upgrade would be worth it.

There is currently no timetable in place to complete that study.
