ERIE, Pa. — Starting April 24, patients visiting Saint Vincent Hospital will be entering the emergency department a new way.

Patients will temporarily use an alternative entrance as the hospital begins construction on a new two-story structure that will house the new emergency department.

The new entrance, which is currently the ambulance entrance on West 23rd Street between Myrtle and Sassafras streets, is expected to be used for approximately four to six months.

Groundbreaking for the $115 million project is scheduled in May.
