PennDOT lifts commercial vehicle ban on Northwestern PA interstates

As the snow accumulation begins to slow down, PennDOT has lifted the commercial vehicle ban and speed limit reduction on a number of Pennsylvania interstates. These interstates including: 

  • I-79 in Crawford, Erie, and Mercer Counties
  • I-80 in Mercer and Venango Counties
  • I-86 and I-90 in Erie County
  • I-376 in Mercer County.

PennDOT will continue to treat those roadways, along with others. Motorists are encouraged to still use caution when driving on interstates and other roadways during winter weather.
