Pennsylvania treasurer in state of panic due to budget problems

Local News

Budget talks continue in Harrisburg today, along with a warning that the state could be out of money by Friday.

The warning is from State Treasurer Joe Torsella.  He says the state will miss $860 million in payments if the impasses go into Friday.  Meanwhile, local lawmakers say they’re not hopeful.

This is the 74th day the state has had a spending plan without the revenue plan to pay for it.
