With Downtown D’Lights packing Perry Square this past Friday, organizers are preparing for this week’s activities to spread the holiday cheer in downtown Erie.
Music, dancing, Santa, and the Mrs., and a giant Christmas tree brought countless people to downtown Erie Friday. The weather was chilly, but that didn’t stop crowds of people from enjoying all the festivities offered at the Downtown D’Lights event.
The Holiday Village featuring local vendors was also a success. And, it’s all part of the Erie Downtown Development Corporation’s mission to breathe new life into the area.
CEO of the EDDC John Persinger tells us, “Perry Square is the heart of the city. So, to have an event like this in the winter time was such a great start to the winter. We’re going to have some more activities over the next several months, so I hope people come back because there’s going to be a lot more on the offering.”
The fun continues each Friday until Christmas in Perry Square.
