Phil English stumps for Toomey during Erie visit

ERIE, Pa. — Support for Pat Toomey countered Katie McGinty’s claims during a visit to Erie on Thursday.

Former Congressman Phil English and other Toomey supporters gathered at Fralo Industries Inc., 1651 E. 12th St., to talk about what they call McGinty’s harmful economic policies.

They claim that McGinty fights for tax increases and higher energy costs that don’t help the paychecks of workers.

English said Toomey stands up to bad trade agreements and is committed to tax reform that’s pro-worker and pro-family.

“He has frequently come into this community without having a press conference just to talk to people who are actually out here working,” English said about Toomey. “I admire him for it. Pat is clearly the anti-establishment candidate.”

English said Toomey has proven that he can get things done through working across party lines.
