The Erie Philharmonic kicks off its 2017-2018 season Saturday night with an evening of Beethoven, Brahms and Barber.
The full orchestra will take the stage at the Warner Theater, along with three soloists. Because the Philharmonic likes to be involved with the community, the trio will perform today at noon at WQLN studios. The soloists were also performing for the students this morning at the Benjamin Wiley Charter School.
Executive Director of the Erie Philharmonic, Steve Weiser, says, “We take them to the BWCS, they perform for about an hour for the kids. Getting to work with them and show them what it’s like to have a career in music, and see the things you can do when you follow through with music”.
The season begins Saturday night at 8pm at the Warner Theater with Beethoven’s Triple.
