There will be more than beachgoers and trail walkers at Presque Isle State Park this summer. There will also be two of the biggest names in the history of rock ‘n roll. Steve Miller and Peter Frampton, together for one night on Beach 11 at Presque Isle.
It’s the return of the ‘Best Summer Night’ concert series June 22nd and a packed beach is expected. Jon DeMarco of Presque Isle Partnership, says, “It’s just a magical night. If you’ve been there before; you know it’s just a wonderful experience, right on the beach, toes in the sand, right on the water’s edge, listening to two rock legends. Can you imagine it? Now, it’s just going to be a wonderful experience.”
The proceeds from the ‘Best Summer Night’ concerts always benefit Presque Isle. This year, we know how the money will be used even as the details are still being ironed out. DeMarco says, “This year’s proceeds will go towards waterfront safety and accessibility and we’re excited to announce more on those projects in the coming weeks”.
The ‘Best Summer Night’ concert with Steve Miller and Peter Frampton is set for June 22nd beginning at 7:30. Tickets are in three tiers, $175, $125, and $100, with the most expensive seeing best parking and a pre-party. To get your tickets or to learn more, go to www.bestsummernight.com.
