Pittsburgh Pirates players spend time at South Shore Senior Living Community

Local News

Members of the Pittsburgh Pirates made their way into the area.  Pirates Infielder Josh Bell, Pitcher Tyler Glasnow and others arrived in Erie as part of the pirates annual ‘Care-a-Van’ event.  The players hosted Bingo and shared a visit with the elderly at the Regency at South Shore Senior Living Community.

Bell tells us, “I feel like the Pirates do a really good job of making sure that we keep the right things in perspective. That the game is one thing, but reaching out to your community and doing what you can when you can is more important.”

This marked the first time Erie was a part of the tour and the players say they’re glad to put smiles on so many faces in the community.
