Pittsburgh suspect who reportedly tried robbing an Erie McDonald’s identified

Local News

A Pittsburgh man is being charged with trying to rob a local McDonald’s.  That man is 41-year-old Rodney Lynell Hall.

The robbery was reported just before 11:40 last night at the McDonald’s near East 26th and Broad streets.  Erie Police say Hall entered the restaurant and demanded money, but did not show a weapon.  The cashier refused and Hall fled.  He was found a short time later behind a nearby Burger King and taken into custody.

He was identified by surveillance footage and the cashier.  No weapon was found.

Hall is being charged with robbery and providing false ID to law enforcement.
