ERIE, Pa. — A new three-story apartment building may soon overlook Erie’s west bayfront.
They’re calling it Bayview Heights.
The 71-unit complex would create 45 homes for seniors on fixed-incomes and another 26 for other residents. The apartment complex would be built between West Second and Third streets and Cherry and Poplar streets.
The company that owns the property claims that its studies show that there’s a demand for new loft-style apartments close to UPMC Hamot and Gannon university.
This is not a done deal.
Although the City Planning Commission recently signed off on the rezoning of the property. City Council still needs to as well.
