Plans move forward for demolition of former Pleasant Ridge Manor East

Plans to demolish the former Pleasant Ridge Manor East building continue to move forward.

Erie County Council members moving an ordinance to next week’s meeting, which would approve more than $300,000 for a firm to handle the demolition of the former nursing home.

Empire Excavation coming in with a bid of $294,000.

The firm would remove asbestos floor tiles and roofing prior to demolition of the blighted property.
