Erie Police have confiscated tens of thousands of dollars worth of drugs and drug money from an east side home.
One man now sits in Erie County Prison after police seized more than $20,000 worth of cocaine and more than $12,000 of drug money from his home.
31-year-old Cordele Miles the III is facing multiple charges including illegal possession of a firearm as a felon and possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver.
It all started when police were called to his home on the 400 block of East 5th Street around 3 a.m Friday for a reported fight. Police say the 911 caller also reported one shot fired and a woman being dragged into the home.
When police arrived, they found a shell casing and proceeded into the home. Police say that’s where officers recovered more than 200 grams of cocaine and more than $12,000 in cash.
Police also recovered three handguns. What police didn’t find was any sign of the reported woman.
This is the department second big drug arrest in the last week. Earlier this week they seized 200 g of cocaine, 3 pounds of marijuana and just under $10,000 in cash from 23-year-old Dion Williams. Police also confiscated one illegal firearm.
Police say the success of these arrests are attributed to their patrol officers.
In just these two incidents, police confiscated a total of four guns, 400 grams of cocaine and $22,000+.
Miles was arraigned and sits in Erie County Prison on a $25,000 cash bond.
