Police continue probe of east Erie shooting

ERIE, Pa. — Erie police are investigating after a man showed up to UPMC Hamot with a gunshot wound to the back Friday.

Police said the 22-year-old victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

The victim told police he was shot near the corner of East Sixth and Wallace streets late Friday night.

Police went to the scene, however, they did not find any shell casings or signs of a shooting.

Two witnesses who were with the victim said they saw a black truck speed away.

There are no suspects at this time.
