ERIE, Pa. — An Erie police officer was involved in an accident on his way to call Thursday.
According to police, the cruiser was approaching the intersection of West 38th and Cherry streets with its lights and siren before it came to a stop at the intersection and collided with a Toyota that came through the intersection without stopping.
The Toyota was heading eastbound on West 38th Street. The police cruiser was traveling north on Cherry.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital as a precaution.
