City of Erie Police Chief Dan Spizarny says this St. Patrick’s Day was a mild one compared to previous years.
Spizarny saying this year saw an increase in patrol units out for the Irish holiday, and that it was increased in efforts to get ahead of unforeseeable issues with the weekend. And, he says, it appears the extra coverage has paid off.
“The police reports in the morning were not as long as in previous years. I think the extra patrols kept it under control.”
Spizarny adding they are happy with the overall weekend.
