A man is dead after a hit and run accident in West Erie County.

Pennsylvania state police in Girard say a pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle just before 11p.m. in the area of Route 20 and North Creek road. The vehicle then continued traveling west on route 20.

The victim… Charles Ryen, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene by Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook.

Pennsylvania state police are looking for that vehicle involved in the hit and run. The make or model is unknown, but it’s reported as gray or black in color and was last seen traveling west. The vehicle will have front end passenger side damage, including a missing fog light assembly and other damage.
