Police: Man takes daughter to buy heroin, overdoses

Local News

A Fairview Township man, who allegedly took his 8-year-old daughter to the Millcreek Mall to buy heroin and later overdosed, is now facing charges.

Pennsylvania State Police in Girard and emergency crews were called to a house along Uhlman Road in Fairview Township where they found Steven Reagle, 34, unresponsive.

Police allege that Reagle took his daughter to the parking lot of the mall where he reportedly purchased the heroin.

Police say the daughter witnessed the sale.

Reagle returned home where he apparently overdosed on the drug.

He was found on the bathroom floor by his daughter.

She ran to a neighbors house to call 911.

Reagle was taken to Saint Vincent Hospital and treated for the overdose and was later charged by police for endangering welfare of a child, drug possession and paraphernalia.

State police said the parents were separated and the daughter is now safely with her mother.

The Office of Children & Youth Services is also conducting an investigation.
