Police search for masked men involved in shooting

Local News

It was a busy night for the Erie Police Department but the Police Chief, Don Dacus, is assuring everyone none of the violence is connected.  “Even though we had a busy night last night, considering it’s been quiet for some time, I can confidently say that none of these are related to each other. They are not random in nature by any means. “

Erie Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Around 9pm, Erie Police were called to the 600 block of West 10th Street.  Dacus says there was a report of two masked men in the area, then shots fired.  He says a 23 year old man was shot in the bicep.

Police are searching for two men.  The only description they have is that they are both light-skinned black men, both wearing masks.

Police are asking anyone with information to call police at 814-870-1120.
