Pothole filling and paving to begin a month earlier in Erie this year

The city of Erie will start repairing potholes a month earlier than usual. City of Erie Mayor Joe Schember saying since the city has implemented year ’round large item pick-ups, they will now be able to start filling potholes and paving roads a month earlier.

Schember tells us the city will spend $3-4 million on fixing the roads. Units will start surveying all the roads in the city of Erie to determine which streets need the most repair.

“The roads will be in much better shape much earlier than they typically are.”

Schember says pothole filling and paving will take up until the end of summer to complete.
