Power Squadron Boating Safety Class

Local News
As we get closer and closer to Spring, many boaters are thinking about hitting the waters.
Just like driving a car, you need have a license or certificate to operate a watercraft.
The Erie Power Squadron is offering an 8 week safe boating course at the Bayfront Maritime Center on Holland Street.
Those who pass the course earn a Pennsylvania boating safety certificate and just as a plus can save money on boat insurance.
The course is mandatory for those born after January 1, 1982, who operate a personal watercraft, or a vessel with 25 horsepower or more.
It’s also a good refresher to make sure you stay safe when out in the water this year.
The classes start March 6th, and will run every Monday through April 24th at the Bayfront Maritime Center, starting a six o’clock.
