Preliminary hearing today after allegedly exchanging gunfire with state troopers

On January 7th, five State Police Troopers arrived at the home of Anthony Lacastro on Dorn Road after his wife called 9-1-1.

She reportedly told the dispatcher that Lacastro was armed and had fired a gun.  During the incident, Lacastro allegedly shot at the troopers, who returned fire hitting Lacastro once.  The 71-year-old man was hospitalized and charged with five counts of attempted homicide.  

Lacastro’s preliminary hearing is set to be in front of District Judge Brian McGowan today.
