From flowers to vegetable plants to small evergreen trees, you’ll be able to exercise your green thumb at the Presque Isle Garden Club’s plant sale.
The two-day event began this morning in the social hall of the West Ridge Fire Department. Hundreds of plants, many grown by club members, are for sale. The proceeds from the sale will help the club keep their other gardens in tip-top shape and pave the way for new gardens.
Lynn Jackson, President of the Presque Isle Garden Club, says, “We maintain gardens out at Pleasant Ridge. We’re looking to do a Veteran Affairs, Blue Star Memorial marker in Veteran’s Park in Millcreek. We have other small gardens we tend to in the area.”
The sale runs until 5pm today and Saturday from 8am until 12pm in the West Ridge Fire Department Social Hall at 3142 West 26th Street.
