The nation’s largest pro-am beach volleyball tour is making a stop for the first time in Erie.
EVP Tour is taking professional beach volleyball around the country, including right here on Beach 11 at Presque Isle State Park.
Saturday, men and women teams pressed their chances to win here in Erie.
Ross Balling, EVP Tour commissioner, says around 35 teams are competing.
Balling says, “We love this beach. It’s really kind of cool. Yesterday during set up, the beach was packed. I mean there was like thousands of people here. The weather today was a little dim but we’re looking forward to some sunshine.”
The competition will continue tomorrow morning with co-ed games starting at 9 o’clock on Beach 11.
They are free to watch.
