A psychiatrist determines a man charged with shooting an 18-year-old is unfit for juvenile court, but the judge still has the final say.
Jay-C McGlumphy is accused in the shooting death of Isiah Wiley in June of 2016. Investigators say McGlumphy fired shots into the car that the victim was driving.
The crime happened on the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue.
In a status hearing today, the judge announced a psychiatrist didn’t think juvenile court would be appropriate for the defendant.
McGlumphy’s attorney now has 14 days to dictate a motion for decertification.
