A major change in how first responders communicate is the subject of public hearings today.
Last week, Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced they have contracted E.F. Johnson Company as the radio manufacturer for the next generation public radio system. The contract is for $16.1 million, which is a $3 million savings for tax payers.
The public meetings will take place at Perry Hi-Way Hose Company at 1p.m. and 6p.m.
