ERIE, Pa. –The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Erie received a top rating in 2016, according to a report released earlier this month of national VA medical centers.
Erie was one of 14 facilities nationwide to receive the top rating of five stars. The scale is one to five stars, with five stars being the best and one being the worst.
Cleveland and Pittsburgh earned a 5-star rating, while Buffalo scored three stars. Ten VA hospitals nationwide received one star.
Erie’s score in 2015 was also a 5-star rating.
The VA released the ratings earlier this month after years of keeping the ratings internal and not public.
