Reckless endangerment charges have now been dropped against the latest group of Penn State fraternity brothers charged with the death of Sophomore Timothy Piazza.
This latest decision impacted 12 additional students charged in November after Beta Theta Pi house video, thought to have been deleted, was recovered. Piazza died in February from injuries sustained in a pledge hazing event.
The rulings did sustain lesser charges of hazing and illegally providing alcohol to minors. Attorney General Josh Shapiro is already considering appeals in many of the cases where either involuntary manslaughter or reckless endangerment charges were dropped.
