A Pennsylvania Congressman took to the House floor to take a stand on the issue of gun violence in schools.
“Why do we think that our lives are more important than the lives of any parent’s child in America?”
Republican Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania’s 11th District took to the Capitol’s floor making a statement for taking action to prevent gun violence in schools.
His speech to Congress highlighting the disparity between the security at public schools and the security, for example, at Congressional meetings. “Outside these doors, there are armed guards with machine guns, guard dogs, metal detectors to keep us safe. But today… once again, children will go to school across America and sit like sitting ducks.”
Barletta’s take away message; that Congressional leaders should put ‘Kids Before Congress’.
